Book Club AfternoonThis is a lively group that has been active for over 40 years. Members meet the first Wednesday of each month at 1:30 pm in members’ homes. They discuss recently published books in sets of ten from the Richmond Public Library.
Lit Lovers
Book Club -Evening
With input from the members, the Book Club coordinator chooses novels of a variety of genres for the group to read each month. Most months a book club set from Richmond Public Library is chosen. Discussions are lively, wide-ranging and entertaining. Meetings are held on the third Wednesday of the month at 7:30 pm, with members taking turns hosting.
Tuesday
Murder Club
This group is open to interested mystery readers. Meetings are held the third Tuesday of each month at 1:30 pm in a member’s home. The books are selected from a wide variety of mystery books and authors including contemporary, historical, police procedurals, legal, cozy, thriller, etc.

Afternoon Bridge All levels of play welcome!  This group meets to play in members’ homes once a month. A schedule is set up with groups of 4 and the hostess arranges time and date to accommodate the players in her group. At the end of the year the group meets as a whole.
Euchre GroupAn easy to learn card game for groups of 4. This group meets at 1:30 pm on the second Thursday of each month. Beginners are welcome.
MahjongA Chinese tile game similar to the card game rummy that is usually played in groups of 4. We play the Hong Kong version of the game. This group meets on the 4th Friday of each month at 1:30pm at Wisteria Place. Beginners are welcome.
Coffee GroupA great way to meet our members and catch up on the news in an informal and welcoming setting. All club members are welcome to attend on the first Friday morning of each month at 10 am hosted by a member.
Lunch BunchMembers venture to a different restaurant for lunch on the 3rd Thursday of the month. Usually a venue in Richmond.
Dinner ClubThe focus for this group is good food and sociability. Participants meet for themed potluck dinners in members’ homes with 3 couples three times a year. Each year starts off with an appetizer/dessert party for the whole group. Partners or spouses are welcome.
Walking GroupMembers meet every Wednesday at 9:30 am rain or shine. They walk on the west dike or around Garry Point for about 1/2 hour each way. Coffee often follows.
TALKThird Age Learning at Kwantlen Polytechnic University (www.kpu.ca/talk) Members of this group organize Philosophers’ Corners and TALK courses for people over 50. Meets the 3rd Thursday of the month at 10 am.
