Book Club Afternoon | This is a lively group that has been active for over 40 years. Members meet monthly on the first Wednesday of each month at 1:30 pm . They discuss their choice of the book selected for that month. |
Lit Lovers Book Club -Evening | The Book Club Leader and members choose a book to read and discuss at the next meeting. There is always a wide-ranging discussion and a broad range of opinions. Meetings are monyhly on the third Wednesday of the month at 7:30 pm. |
Tuesday Mystery Club | This group is open to interested mystery readers. Meetings are held the third Tuesday of each month at 1:30 pm in a member’s home. The books are selected from a wide variety of mystery books and authors including contemporary, historical, police procedurals, legal, cozy, thriller, etc. |
Afternoon Bridge | All levels of play welcome! This group meets to play in members’ homes once a month. A schedule is set up with groups of 4 and the hostess arranges time and date to accommodate the players in her group. At the end of the year the group meets as a whole. |
Euchre Group | An easy to learn card game for groups of 4. This group meet at 1:30 pm on the second Thursday of each month. Beginners are welcome. |
Majong | This group meets on the 3rd Friday of each month at 1:30 pm in a member’s home. All levels welcome. |
Coffee Group | A great way to meet our members and catch up on the news in an informal and welcoming setting. Now meeting on the first Friday morning of each month at 10 am hosted by a member. |
Lunch Bunch | Members venture to a different restaurant for lunch on the 4th Thursday of the month. Usually in Richmond. |
Dinner Club | The focus for this group is good food and sociability. Participants meet for themed potluck dinners in members’ homes with 3 couples three times a year. Each year starts off with an appetizer/dessert party. Partners or spouses are welcome. |
Walking Group | Members meet every Wednesday at 9:30 am rain or shine. They walk on the west dike or around Garry Point for about 1/2 hour each way. Coffee often follows. |
TALK | Third Age Learning at Kwantlen Polytechnic University (www.kpu.ca/talk) Members of this group organize Philosophers’ Corners and TALK courses for people over 50. Usually meets the 3rd Monday of the month at 1:30 pm. |
